British Actor Max Parker Stars in Mytheresa’s Latest Menswear Campaign
The luxury e-commerce platform Mytheresa has unveiled its new spring menswear advertising campaign, marking a strategic shift toward celebrity endorsements as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive online retail market.
The campaign features British actor Max Parker, who has gained international recognition for his starring role in Netflix’s series “Boots.” The shoot took place in the dramatic landscape of Spain’s Tabernas Desert in Almería, Andalusia, with photography by Zoe Joubert.
Parker, currently filming Amazon Prime’s upcoming “God of War” series based on the popular video game franchise, showcased pieces from prestigious fashion houses including Prada, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Tom Ford, and Saman Amel throughout the campaign.
Fashion as Character Development
Speaking about his relationship with fashion, Parker emphasized the transformative power of clothing in both his professional and personal life. He explained that garments serve as tools for character development in his acting work, helping him embody different roles while also influencing how he navigates daily experiences.
The actor described fashion as a means of exploring identity, noting how clothing choices can subtly alter one’s movement and presence throughout the day.
From Stage to Screen
Parker’s entertainment career began in theater, where he performed in notable productions including “Matilda the Musical,” “Kiss Me, Kate,” and “The Wizard of Oz.” His performance in the latter earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Performance at the 2016 U.K. Theatre Awards.
His transition to television began in 2018 with the medical drama “Casualty,” followed by a role in the long-running ITV soap opera “Emmerdale.” More recent projects include appearances in Peacock’s “Vampire Academy” and Netflix’s “Blood, Sex & Royalty.”
Military Precision Meets Relaxed Style
In “Boots,” Parker portrays Sgt. Liam Robert Sullivan, a Marine instructor at a 1990s boot camp, a role that requires him to wear military uniforms almost exclusively. He contrasted his character’s precise, disciplined approach to clothing with his own more relaxed personal style preferences.
Parker revealed his fondness for comfortable pieces like oversized cardigans, hoodies, and knitwear in his off-screen wardrobe. However, he expressed particular appreciation for one campaign look: a loose-fitting Armani suit paired with flat sandals, shot during sunrise, which he could envision wearing while relaxing on a terrace.
Strategic Campaign Launch
The “Best of Spring” campaign represents Mytheresa’s efforts to expand its menswear division, which currently represents approximately 10 percent of the company’s annual revenue. The e-commerce platform reported an 8.9 percent increase in sales for 2025, reaching 916.1 million euros.
Mytheresa operates under LuxExperience, the entity created following the company’s acquisition of Yoox Net-a-porter in 2025, positioning it as a major player in the luxury online retail space.
