Armed Suspect Arrested After Shooting at Celebrity’s Beverly Hills Residence
Law enforcement officials responded to a shooting incident at a Beverly Hills mansion on Sunday afternoon, where multiple gunshots were fired at the residence of global superstar Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple shares three young children: RZA, aged 3, Riot, aged 2, and their newest addition Rocki, who is 5 months old. While the singer was present during the attack, authorities confirmed she remained unharmed and no injuries were reported from the incident.
The gunfire erupted approximately 1:00 PM Pacific Time when an individual discharged multiple rounds from a vehicle positioned outside the property. Law enforcement quickly identified and apprehended Ivanna Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Florida, as the primary suspect in connection with the shooting.
Prior to the attack, Ortiz had published disturbing social media content that made references to the Grammy-winning artist. Her online activity also included unsubstantiated claims about encounters with other high-profile celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Cardi B, though these assertions appear to lack credible evidence.
The assault resulted in significant property damage, with projectiles striking multiple areas of the estate. According to law enforcement reports, bullets penetrated the mansion’s exterior wall, damaged the front security gate, and hit a recreational vehicle stationed in the driveway. The gunfire came from someone positioned inside their car before fleeing the scene.
Following the shooting, the perpetrator escaped in a white Tesla vehicle, traveling along Coldwater Canyon Drive. Police successfully located and detained the suspect approximately 30 minutes after receiving the emergency call, apprehending her in a shopping center parking area in Sherman Oaks.
During the arrest and subsequent vehicle search, investigators discovered an assault rifle and recovered seven spent shell casings, according to LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias. The evidence collection supports the severity of the attack on the celebrity residence.
Authorities have not yet established a clear motive for the violent incident. The suspect’s bail has been set at over $10 million, reflecting the serious nature of the charges. Neither Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky have issued public statements regarding the frightening experience.
This incident marks another security concern for the entertainment icon, who previously faced a home invasion in 2018. During that earlier incident, an intruder spent approximately 12 hours inside her Hollywood Hills property before being discovered by staff. The perpetrator in that case ultimately pleaded no contest to stalking charges.
